landing and logo lights issue

Featured Replies

hello, something with the 737NGX make me wonder and I'll try to explain what I mean:in my FSX everytime I start with the 737NGX AirBerlin with a cold and dark cockpit. This is saved as the default flight and the c&d cockpit is saved in the FMC too. If I load this plane in the evening everything works alright. But if I use another livery the logo and landinglights are not illuminated. Only if I load first the airBerlin-livery and after that the other livery the lights work. What is the reason and how can I solve this problem? thanks Kai

If your default is the AirBerlin aircraft and you load another aircraft (not the default), how do you expect it to load the same as your default? I do not see any problem here. You can save several different situations so you should be able to set up something with your other aircraft too. When you get to the FSX setup screen, click on Load and you can see various situations that were saved. Best regards,Jim Young

hi Jim, you don't have understand me. I try to explain the situation again: If I start the FSX and the main window is open I saw as aircraft the 737NGX, AirBerlin, ready to be at the gate in Tegel. This is my saved startsituation. If I start the FSX I'm at the gate in the plane, can make, for example, groundconnection (battery is on of course) and after that I can switch on the logo light and the landing lights too and the logo is lightened and the landing light come from within the wings. If I load in this situation another 737NGX (AA for example) the new aircraft will be loaded again cold and dark. Thats okay. So now I make the same procedere as above and I have my lights. Now: I close the FSX. I start it again, the same main window BUT: now I choose the AA-Livery first, in this window. Not the AirBerlin first. After that, at the gate in Tegel I do the same workflow again as above described. But now there's no logos illuminated nor the landing lights in the wings. Do you see? Everytime I have to load first the AirBerlin-Livery if I'd like to fly at night. No matter which airport or country. with greetings Kai

Kai, I'm trying to solve what I think is a related issue. I have a saved flight with an 800WG Delta Livery and I'm starting FSX from the Free Flight page. The landing lights show on the fuselage side and the logo is lit ok. If I then select a different livery but keep the model the same (800WG) the lights don't show on the aircraft. If I CHANGE THE MODEL (say to a 900 series) the lights show on the aircraft. It seems the way around this is to save a flight for each livery you may want to use and use the Flights/Load from the drop down. Please let me know if I haven't explained myself. Barry

You really don't have to save a flight in every livery you want to do the flight in. As was stated in the intro manual, you have to select a different model first, and then the model you want to fly. For instance, if you have saved a flight featuring the Delta 800WL, but now you want to fly that saved flight using TUIfly 800WL, you'd need to first select another model (say 800 (no WL) or 900(WL)) first, and wait till it's loaded and initialized (if you're in the cockpit), then select the TUIfly 800WL you actually wish to fly, and you should be good.
