Radar Contact won't contact next sector

Featured Replies

Had a weird problem. I have the settings for Radar Contact that I have to press 7 to contact the next sector, so no autoreply.Whilst descending to my destination, the controller said I had to contact the next sector. Normally I would get the option 'acknowledge and contact'.Now I just got 'acknowledge' and thus their wasn't an option to contact the next sector. The ATC kept bugging me every 30 seconds I had to contact them, but I wasn't able. Is there a possibility to override it and contact them manually?

Is this a specific location? I think a log will be needed if so to identify a possible sector file error. Usually acknowledge only (option) will bring up a subsequent menu to choose contact. Specifics are necessary including your flight plan and departure and destination airports. Was this a one time only?

i'd have to see a log. was their a transponder change? was it a sector, or approach? are you sure tune on contact option is set? there is no way to detemine what happened, after the fact like this.

Redid the flight, although I started from a different airport and it didn't occur again. The first one was from EBBR to KJFK, the second EGLL to KJFK. (if waypoints is necessary let me know)Their was indeed a transponder change and I don't remember me changing it the first time, so this could perhaps be the problem?
