Destination ATIS and AI still incorrect

Featured Replies

Hello. I wonder if someone here can help me. I'm using ASE build 647 over a network and my ai aircraft at the destination airport are still using the wrong runways. I have Force Destination Weather Zone and Force ATC wind Lock both checked. I was under the assumption that Force ATC Wind Lock was supposed to cure this problem. I am submiting a flight plan to ASE. Hello Martin,Please sign your posts with your full name in the future. Thanks for your help here. There are cases where the 80nm "zone" is not enough. We are working to try and improve the handling here to cover all bases. You may wish to use the "Refresh AI" button in the Wx Report screen to force AI to be reset at your command.

Damien I use ASE with RC4 when would the best time be to jump out of FSX and hit the AI refresh button to ensure conformity at the destination, thanks Wayne

Thank's Damien. I'll try hitting the 'refresh ai button' when I start my descent??? I'll let you know what happens. Martin Stacey.

Hi again, About 80nm would be the ideal time to press the Refresh AI button.

Hello again Damien. I've just tried a flight and pressed the 'Refresh AI' button at 80nm out but the results were the same. ATIS still reports winds that are where my aircraft is at the present time, ie. 29,000 feet or whatever hence the ai at the destination is using the wrong runways. I thought 'Force ATC Wind lock' was supposed to cure this? Any more ideas? Martin.

Hi Martin, "ATIS still reports winds that are where my aircraft is at the present time, ie. 29,000 feet or whatever" This is normal per DWC depiction mode. Perhaps try a little bit closer, at 70nm, to get AI to be assigned properly. Force ATC Wind Lock was an added design feature in SP3 which targeted Radar Contact and FSUIPC integration. It is known that in some cases AI traffic does not assign properly despite use of this feature, and we are working on improving that.
