Drivers for Graphics Cards

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,I have an Athlon XP2000 with the GefOrce 4200 64 card.I currently have the original drivers that came with it - May 2002.I did upgrade to the 43.45 drivers, but went from an average of 20- 25 FPS to 10! And often down to 1-3!!!! Some of the views were also corrupted!Question is what drivers have other people got with a similar system?I still use FS02.Thanks for any info.Keith

Keith, I have a GF4600 and use the newest drivers and all seems to be O.K.I had quit MSFS for some time and moved to Fly2 and X-plane but now have FS2004 with Megascenery for Southern Calif and NYC and all I can say is a big WOW ! as this is the best sim I have had for some time the graphices are out of this world. !! My vid card is a 4200ti 128 and the 52.16 seem good for me. 2.5 Barton cpu. My box dosent like the newest ones for some reason.Farmer

Got the same as you - XP2000 and Ti4200 and using 52.16 drivers.Like Farmer I also found that the later 53.03 drivers were not as good as the 52.16 version.Try the 52.16 - you can always go back to the originals if need be.Dave

The two best driver releases for that card, are 30.82 for FS2002 and 52.16 for FS9.

have 5216 with FS9 and Ti4200 128 dual monitor and have problem with FSNav4 screen displaying very slow and causing flickering in FS external view.any idea?

For what it's worth - I also run two monitors - no problem but had flickering effects on both when I tried having different refresh rates on each monitor. However this was with the 53.03 drivers, and as I said above ,I've gone back to the older 52.16 now and haven't tried differing rates again. Dave

thx ; had one at 75 and other at 72 ; try 72 both
