Where does FS9 ATC store its information?

Featured Replies

ATC keeps telling aircraft that they are at the wrong flight level "descend (ascend) and maintain Flight Level 570" FL570, for "Fokker 382" (for instance)??! Is this fixable by editing a file somewhere? I can't remember/find where this information is stored. Thanks. Martin

Presume you are talking of AI traffic. That's probably because they are at the wrong flight level. Some AI pilots are very naughty and don't adjust their altimeters for the correct barometric pressure setting. The only fix I know of is to turn "real weather" off. Others drink Heinekin and file flight plans hoping they can reach altitudes that other Fokkers cannot reach. The fix is to fix the flight plans. FL570 for a Fokker - eek! John

My co-pilot's name is Sid and he's a star!

Angel.gif Very amusing answer! Of course, all comes back to me now, I gotta fix the flight plans of course!! Located the traffic file with all the ,570, information (there were hundreds of them, Cessnas etc. Whatever were they thinking??!) and decompiled/recompiled with TTools .. hopefully this is now fixed. We shall see. Thanks John, Martin
