October 19, 201114 yr I had this problem with my ATI card its a 5770 HD, and i had my hopes up about that my new rig would flaw FS9, but at first it didnt, i had the same issue as you. Finally i relasied what i had done. If your ATI card came with a control panel, go onto it and make some adjustments. I put all my settings on "high" dont do this as it stresses your card more and it causes a large drop in FPS. So instead click on economy or Auto settings, this increased my FPS by around 15-20, so now... im getting a good 30-60 fps.
October 19, 201114 yr Author Thanks everyone for the great support. I actually had visions of maybe going to FSX but after this not so much. I did heed the advice provided here i.e. I turned off Crossfire and Hyperthreading with did yield much much better results. Wowk I will try reducing the settings as you mentioned. I'm assuming your referring to AA and those kind of things? Right now I think I have it set to 8x rather than 16x but I will check when I get home from work this evening. Everyone, thanks again for taking the time to put words to text. Mitch
