Please Help - New System - Bad Results

I had this problem with my ATI card its a 5770 HD, and i had my hopes up about that my new rig would flaw FS9, but at first it didnt, i had the same issue as you. Finally i relasied what i had done. If your ATI card came with a control panel, go onto it and make some adjustments. I put all my settings on "high" dont do this as it stresses your card more and it causes a large drop in FPS. So instead click on economy or Auto settings, this increased my FPS by around 15-20, so now... im getting a good 30-60 fps.

Thanks everyone for the great support. I actually had visions of maybe going to FSX but after this not so much. I did heed the advice provided here i.e. I turned off Crossfire and Hyperthreading with did yield much much better results. Wowk I will try reducing the settings as you mentioned. I'm assuming your referring to AA and those kind of things? Right now I think I have it set to 8x rather than 16x but I will check when I get home from work this evening. Everyone, thanks again for taking the time to put words to text. Mitch

Disable FS9 AA and keep it on x8 or x16 on the ATI card. Also list the ATI 3d settings you currently have enabled on the card.
