Making brand new panel with FSPS

Featured Replies

HiI'd thought I'd post this here before posting at simforums. I've been using FSPS for awhile and I'm really good with it. Changing gauges etc. But I want to make a really realistic panel for the king air 350. I'm going to use mostly payware gauges. One of my questions is how do I make switches control what I want them to. For example if I made a switch for my left bleed air how would I make it control that. Or if I took a couple of switches from the aeroworx b200 since they kinda look the same would it control what it was supposed to when I moved it to the 350. Like it was in the 200. I also might release it so I'd prefer to use my own gauges. Thanks for the help Lee.

Sorry by payware gauges I mean flight 1 Avidyne and stuff . So if I released it you'd need a couple of payware gauges to make it work so maybe it will just be for me right nowLee

Hello Lee The straight answer is that it is very close to nil that gauges from one developer will work with those from another. Each developer will be using their own independantly-named variables to do the same job, so for example, the variable that turns the power on for Aeroworx will not be the same variable that turns the power on for Flight1 Avidyne. It isn't going to work. In fact, as each publisher has multiple developers, it's also highly unlikely that a pick'n'mix of gauges from a single publisher will work together. -Dai

I want them to look nice . But thats what i ended up doing . I just didnt like the main background bmp for the 350 and i tried two. How do I make my own backgrounds?

Actually the easiest way to make a gauge is to find an image on the net and then massage it a little to suite your needs. For example I had to make a lot of gauges for the OH panel so I had to twist them to the correct perspective. Separate the needle from the face and your pretty much done.vololiberista
