FredrikMy comments even at 3.2GHz OC you won't see too much optimisation of FSX, most gurus say you need to get to at least 3.8GHz to see some significant benefit. The GTX560 IMHO is too 'light' for 3 monitors and I would see a GTX580 (greater bandwidth) being a much better bet (not sure about a GTX 590 as FSX is not SLI optimised). Not sure why your RAM is not operating at 1600, so that could also slow you down.BTW. just one opimionRegardsPeterH

Hi I am running with cpu Level up in bios, when you have thise level ujp you can OS your ram to 1600! Is cpu level up a good way to oc at al?Best Fredrik

I don't know about this "level up" function, but that's definitely not the right way to OC a 920.Your hardware and settings reflect your performance, nothing fishy going on here.You need to overclock way more, 920 can hit 4.0 easily with a bit of decent overclock and 560 is definitely too weak for what you want. 580 would be a decent solution.

HiThis is the situation:Before, I reached the OC level of 3,8GHz with a 32-bit os when I changed to a 64-bit OS I am was forced to a downgrade my OC to 3.4GHz bacause of the stability!I get the temp with my cpu heatsink 75 degrees than I reached 3.8GHz. Does anyone know why I been forced to downgtrade from 3,8GHz (32 bit) to 3,4GHz with 64- bit OS?Before I had the current motherboard I had the Asus P6T Deluxe!I had a defect powersupply so the motherboard was also defective so I changed the motherboard to the current one!Situation now is:I am running the cpu level up (3,2GHz) from the BIOS. I am reaching the temp about 65 degrees. My RAM is reanching 1200MHz, cannot OC the RAM to 1600MHzbecause of the cpu level upp!I am maybe going to upgrade my computer after Christmas. Until Christmas I have lot to do so the only thing I can do is. I can oc my cpu with the same valueas I am getting from the cpu level up so I can oc the ram to 1600MHz.The RAM module are build for run in 1600MHz!The raason are:A think the cpu cannot reach 4GHz at if not it is waste of time beacuse I need at least get up to 3,8GHz go gain benefit in fsx!I have not the time to test and so onIf I upgrade the computer I will sell the component´ss that I do not need anymoreBut is it waste of time to oc the RAM from 1200 - 1600MHz?what do you think about my config of fsx and it´s cfg files?Best Fredrik

RAM from 1200 to 1600 is a waste of time, but it should run at 1600.With your current hardware you should be OCing to 4.0 or even 4.2 without a problem. Maybe you would need a decent aircooler, or maybe the Corsair watercooler.The 64bit upgrade should have NOTHING to do with your ability to run your OC. Overclock is BIOS thing, nothing to do with Windows.If you don't have time to do all the necessary things, then I suggest you leave it and be happy with what you have. Or upgrade.

All the 2600K has over the 2500K is hyper threading and a little extra cache, neither of which has any impact on FSX. Take it from any one of the 2600K owners around here and save your $100 for something else.What kind of watercooling are you referring to - closed loop systems like the Corsair LCLC units or custom DIY kits?

You could pick up one of those XSPC watercooling kits, end up saving you heaps! They would outperform a Corsair closed loop easily. They would take a little extra setup but in the long run it would be worth it.

DIY kits rock. I got one and love it! Temps are always so low, it's just amazing. Dangerous? Only if you have two left hands and are stupid.
