As above, i have requested a refund from OC now, rather than a replacement. I have managed to pick up a 780W G7 unit as it was on offer and therefore cheaper than a 680W one. Computer works fine now, although i have yet to OC my CPU yet!

My system which is due for delivery on the 27th October 2011

Cooler Master Elite case

Cooler Master hyper 212 CPU fan

G7 780w PSU - I know i need to upgrade this!

PMDG's 744X Queen of the skies.

Total outlay about £1500. Next i intend on getting a good Yoke and peddles.

I don't like that PSU. It's actually rated at 600W split in four 18A rails: http://www.maplin.co...158980d130977d6Passive PFC, not even 80+ certified... doesn't look good at all, sorryWhen it comes to PSU's, quality is far more important than the watts in the sticker

I tell people all the time not to buy OCZ. Glad you found the problem. There are several good options for a quality PSU, but I would look at Corsair or Seasonic.

Whilst i agree that the PSU i picked up is proverbial ****, I could also say i had no luck with a well recommended unit, and as such it would not surprise me if this one i have, performed and lasted for me.

My OCZ 520w died on me after 11 months, and took the motherboard with it. Would never touch an OCZ product again.
