November 2, 201114 yr **NOTE**-I am willing to purchase a different PSU and/or RAM.I would stay away from OCZ PSUs. Consider Corsair or Seasonic if you want something reliable. Why not 1600MHz memory? This is faster and cheaper! November 2, 201114 yr Author I would stay away from OCZ PSUs. Consider Corsair or Seasonic if you want something reliable. Why not 1600MHz memory? This is faster and cheaper!I thought the 2500k didn't support the 1600MHZ RAM?? that's what it says on the product page...WHAT RAM should I buy? I seriously have not a clue which one to buy. I want to overclock to 4.8-5GHZ.And BTW, I have a OCZ PSU and it hasn't given me a problem for 3 years..
November 2, 201114 yr The 2500k systems default faster memory to 1333. You have to change the multiplier to get faster speeds.I don't doubt you haven't had any problems with your OCZ. They obviously get some working units out the door if they're still in business. I'm just saying that they are a less reliable brand.
