Boring delivery, but certainly interesting... I wonder whether SLOP is performed over Europe much? I would guess so, given the high volume of traffic on certain routes, like the UL620 over here...Andrew

You only "SLOP" in Oceanic airspace. Offsets are used in China quite often and some in the rest of Asia. Not so much in the USA. Europe, I don't know.

In my ops we use it when operating in places with questionable ATC procedures or non radar areas like the NATS, Africa, and the pacific ocean region. Most places in Europe with high traffic volume have trustworthy radar coverage. In the USA and Europe, traffic is closely monitored so no big reason to offset.

Cheers...Offsets I see regularly here overhead... sometimes up to 10nm... parallel tracks of aircraft in close succession... and directly overhead, so it is not the angle of different FL...Andrew
