Constant Crashing?

Featured Replies

I've not used FSX for about a month or two, and got back into it now that I have a joystick again. It will load everything just fine, ASE, and 737NGX are what I am using and don't rightly know if those are the cause, I'll have to fly with something else to see. I will fly for a few minutes then suddenly it will crash, even if I'm sitting there just watching, and not pressing anything. Any ideas?

Delete your fsx.cfg file and let it rebuild a new one. Then see if it still crashes.

Also check the Event Viewer and look for any error message at the time of each crash. You can get to the Event Viewer by clicking on the Start button, type Event Viewer in the search bar and then look up and you'll see Event Viewer in the Menu. Click on it and open up Custom Views and then Administrative Events. It should tell you what program or module caused the crash. Tell us.Best regards,Jim

Where is the .cfg file? its been awhile since I've done anything in the game.
%Appdata%MicrosoftFSX copy and paste this into search section on the start menu and press enter. FSX.CFG, delete that and rerun sim.
