Reflective Glass In MD11 VC

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,Well, I just purchased the MD11 for FSX, but found out after the fact that reflective VC glass was left out in the FSX model due to performance issues. I didn't notice this stated this on the products page and wish it was. Is there anywhere this can be obtained now that the MD11 has been out for some time? That would really add to the immersion visually. Your help is greatly appreciated in advance. Best, Jeff MossProud PMDG Customer

I don't think there is, though I am not a software engineer or a programmer.I thought I read somewhere that the flight deck windows were not reflective or that the reflection was minimal.

It is minimal. For example, if you own the 737NGX or the J41 like myself, it makes all the world of difference to me and it is done just right on those products. The NGX is levels above in strain on our systems, so if they could do it there, then maybe now it can be applied to the MD11? I know there are some users out there that prefer no reflective glass, but I'm sure there are just as many who would really enjoy that added touch like myself. Just my thoughts anyway.Best, Jeff MossProud PMDG Customer

hi Jess, i asked time ago to the Team if in future they can release a patch that include - finally - the glass in VC mode but they said no. after a couple of months i stopped to flight my favorite plane just because i didnt feel immersion on it. i think it doesnt take long time so really hope they can do that.on 737ngx finally they have included the glass in virtual cockpit but the front glass was made too clear )probably for not see too much contrast when u use the HUD. ive modified it by myself with photoshop and now i have full immersion. cross my finger and hope for a miracle for the MD11 (an amazing plane)
