newbie question

I just purchased the MD-11 and I have one question... is there a way to verify in the fmc if 250 knots was enetered when we under fl100...on the boeing 747 all I have to do is go vnav page and modify if I want to.... bt don't know how to do it with md-11

Try the PERF menu. I think there is an entry for the max speed limit.Look at page FMS.30.3-30.8 for more information. That will point you in the right direction. To enter an airspeed constrait for a waypoint, enter it at the desired waypoint by typing "XXX (airspeed in numbers)/". That should do it.Actually, I think that the FMS automatically selects 250 knots below 10,000 feet. If the Vcl speed (Takeoff page) is higher than 250 knots, it will automatically select the higher speed.
