Hello FolksWhen i post in the forums my 'photo' is that of a pharaohs head. this fine head used to shimmer in a rather marvelous manner ,however it is now static. When I look at my profile settings there indeed is the original head shimmering as it used to , but when I try to add that to my profile it just remains stubbornly unshimmering .Any way i can reinstate my shimmering head.cheers Andy

I think you need to re-edit your animated avatar gif to 100x100 pixels and it will display with animations. Right now the forums are re-sizing it, because its smaller and that is why its not displaying with animations.There are a variety of freeware applications you can use the edit animated gif pictures and keep their animations. I haven't done this for a while but I think you can also do it in GIMP (http://getgimp.com/) - here's a short tutorial on how to do animated gif pictures in GIMP - http://www.linuxfocus.org/English/July1998/article51.html

MomtchilVery kind of you to reply. Not having a shimmering head is perhaps not the most important of topics to pass through AVSIMs forums , but I just wondered why it had ceased its shimmerations in the first place.I will check out your links.Andy
