November 11, 201114 yr Hello everyone,A while ago a heads-up was given at this forum for an Aerosoft release of the new runway 07L/25R at Frankfurt/Main (a temporary solution preceding a renewed scenery of the airport). The Aerosoft homepage now also mentions this update and gives a link to the support database. However, when I login and select MAF Frankfurt, I just see an (older) update 1 which is for the CD version of MAF only and has nothing to do with the new runway. Apart from that there is a solution for not wanted static a/c. So where can this runway update be found? Thanks in advance for any input.Kind regards,René René Bongers
November 11, 201114 yr Hi,On the main page, there is in the left menu (section 'Support / Services') an 'Updates' link.Login and select 'Mega Airport Frankfurt X' from the list Location: Vleuten, The Netherlands, 17.3dme SPL 108.40 | Simulator: FS2024 System: AMD 7800X3D - Gigabyte X670 - RTX 4090 - 64GB DDR5 - 2 x 2TB SSD - 32" 1440p Display - Windows 11 Pro
November 11, 201114 yr Author Thanks for the reply Egbert. Meanwhile it has become clear that the update does not apply to my version of the airport, which is AS_EDDF_V201. That one is listed as Mega Airport Frankfurt, but without the "X". So I will simply have to wait for the next version of EDDF in order to enjoy the new runway.Regards,René René Bongers
November 11, 201114 yr If you have registered your Mega Airport X for FS9 & FSX you will see this just below Mega Airport Frankfurt in the support section.I have the boxed CD MAF X Version 1.01, I presume that you have the Download version.Check for Frankfurt Airport in the Aerosoft folder in FS9, mine shows EDDF_2008 and EDDF_2008 LC.If that is shown then you should be able to install the up-dates.Also check the different forums on Aerosoft.EDITWhen installing the 2nd up-grade it asked if it was for the CD or Download version, the next step requested the registration Key.
November 11, 201114 yr Author Hello Christiaan,Thank you for your reply. I do indeed have EDDF_2008 and EDDF_2008 LC installed (download version). Shaun Fletcher of Aerosoft was so kind as to add the "X" to my account, enabling me to download version 2.02 (with a.o. the new runway). However, the install programme refused to accept my keycode, which is very odd, because I used this code successfully when I reinstalled version 2.01 this summer, after the purchase of a new computer. I have reported this state of affairs to Shaun and hopefully he can find some solution. If not, I simply have to be patient.Kind regards,René René Bongers
