December 30, 201114 yr Wow, lots to know and do it seems. I just got a CH yoke and also got the EZ-DOK. Between FSX and those two it's a bit of challenge figuring out how to best set it up. Are there any cheat sheets around? Would FSUIPC replace or enhance some of this?
December 30, 201114 yr If you observe too fast descents and you have often to use the speedbrakes - it may be caused by this "SP1 IDLE BUG". The conditions are:- CH yoke- FSUIPC- and you assigned one button "Gear UP"In this case the N1 suddenly increases at 15500ft from 34.9% to 40%. And that leads to an increase of speed forcing the considerable use of the speedbrakes or you will overshoot.BTW. there is no problem with assigning the axises and it doesn't matter which button is used. Assigning one button to "Gear Up" and using this button after takeoff leads much later during the descent to the N1 jump! So, don't do that until the bug is repaired. Use the "G"!I hope that the images will illustrate what I mean.I have no FSUIPC and no HW controller but my mouse and keyboard and I observe the same issue as well. During my VNAV the idle never goes below 34-35% for me. Maybe that's slightly higher then what it should be.Then, would you be so kind to tell me why the anti-ice could somehow interfere ?Thx

The engine has a minimum N2 speed for TAI, so N1 increases a bit with the TAI ON. Matt Cee
