HiI use Fs panel studio. I'm not to clear how to go about making a background bmp from a real picture. What do I need? Can I do this to create custom gauges too? Has anyone come across a good step-by-step guide or can someone just post a step-by-step guide? Thanks lee

You can use any photo editor, like MSPaint to crop an existing picture andsave it as a 24 bit bmp file.Yes, you can build custom gauges that way.Look in the FSX SDK documents for the gauge building tutorial..it is exactly what you are looking for.
