November 15, 201114 yr Ouch! Sorry folks, nothing in substance to post. But you know the goods are coming soon! A plausible city with skyscrapers?I've yet to see anyone comment on skyscrapers in X-plane 10?What's on the cards Mr Tom Kyler? With respect. Cheers!
November 15, 201114 yr Commercial Member I thought Austin mentioned in his discussion from FS Weekend that they would be generic, but should have somewhat the similar height at real world buildings, but I am not too sure on this. Would love to hear from someone in the inner circle. REX AccuSeason Developer REX Simulations

November 15, 201114 yr A generic New York City is going to be interesting with XP10. What's going to be the end product? That's what we had in every version of X-Plane up til now. Disappointing but not a big surprise. Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
November 15, 201114 yr Author That's what we had in every version of X-Plane up til now. Disappointing but not a big surprise. I'm just interested in how the Algorithm will work with X-plane 10. The CBD? Skyscrapers?Let's wait and see. (:Regardless of the outcome, i am buying X-Plane 10 simply because the SR-71 is default!

November 15, 201114 yr I couldn't say for sure, thats in the autogen court....I do know they'll be generic though. As to the algorithm, I don't know for sure. We have designed skyscrapers to be variable in height, so given a obstacle database, I see no reason why we can't at least place buildings with approximate heights, we'll have to wait and see what it looks like.

Screen shots are welcome at any time. (: Thanks for the response Mr Kyler.I'm still shaking my head at you guys. For such a small team that constitutes Laminar ... you are a bunch of freaks!
