November 17, 201114 yr I have just attempted to reinstall my PMDG 737 NGX and activation was rejected.Firewall off, but AV onI used all of the numbers on my purchase and receipt material (in sequence) - these were the order number; the order code starting with the letters IJ...; the SKU ....And lastly the licence: NGX8.. etc. I copied and pasted all of the above but I was told each was an invalid activation code.I don't count this a dispute as I suspect it is brain trouble on my part. I am also happy to pay for an extended download facility if that is possible - but I would love to get flying again soon.Ian McPhail KInd regards, Ian McPhail

November 17, 201114 yr Did your hardware change? If it did that might explain it. Many software programs such as the NGX and FSDT sceneries will make note of your hardware when installed for the first time. If you attempt to reinstall after making a hardware upgrade this will cause problems.Example: Other night one of the Sata wires came lose on 1 of my 2 DVD Drives. I did not notice it right away and when I went to run FSX I got a mismatch error from some of my FSDT sceneries and it was asking me to reactivate them. After fixing the cable issue and getting my hardware specs back to normal the scenery worked again. My guess is that each company is different on how strict they are as far as the hardware upgrades go. But this is just another way that companies can protect their intellectual property. So if you uninstall your NGX and build a new computer and try to install on the new computer then when the NGX software phones home its going to think your trying to install it on 2 different computers and will reject your activation. In this case you would have to contact PMDG and get your license transferred to the new computer. Paul Deemer
