The whole reason I purchased ASE was to prevent situations like this from happening. Well currently Im flying with ASE weather and tailwinds are pushing 110 knots @ FL350. I think because of the wind the aircraft autopilot keeps making drastic changes to maintain course. It is in VNAV/LNAV mode and keeps making right and left hand turns that exceed 30 degrees of bank (ignoring the fact that I have the bank limit set at 15 on the HDG selector). what is going wrong here?

The bank angle selector is only for Heading Select and the VOR part of VOR/LOC.It does not get used for LNAV.Your weather sounds like your problem !!Fred.

Im using active sky real world weather. Do I have to disable it? I mean im sure aircraft flying with this weather right now arent flying like this. The winds are acting like they do in FSX. Having a several thousand pound aircraft flying like a paper glider.

I would not think you need to disable it but maybe make some adjustments to the options.I do not use ASE myself but I do know that a lot of the guys on here do.Maybe try a search about ASE and the NGX.Fred.

alright thanks. didnt see that. its the s turns and the nav hunting problem. I read that post and fix the problem
