MCP lights double

Featured Replies

Guys, has anyone also seeing this? I've seen in before the reinstall, after... I *think* it's connected to the dawn in FSX. And I'm quite sure I started seeing this post SP1... I can't say for sure if I did before, I would have to reinstall, which I'm not keen doing any more. And also seeing this when MCP lights are turned on.Anyone check please?

I dont see anything Double? Looks a little blurry though but if your using the low res cockpit textures or have high resolution 3-d cockpit panel disabled that would happen.

Yeah, the blurriness is what I'm talking about - that ain't normal, I don't remember seeing it before.I ment double in like, green light doesn't seem to align perfectly with the background button, thus causing this "effect".And no, I am not using low res textures and the highres 3d cockpit option in the fsx config is set.You can clearly see how this is the case (not well aligned):

There are 2 things that could do this.1) Is in FSX Settings under Aircraft. Make sure you have the High Resolution 3d virtual cockpit box checked.2) NGX SP1 comes with the ability to use Low Res or High res textures using the new Performance Manager.

Man, why do I have to repeat what I said?1) that option is SET2) High Res is ENABLEDThis is something else, possibly a bug...Post the same pic from your system, use dawn.EDIT: Btw. it happens at broad daylight, it's just not noticable, since the allaround lighting is way stronger than dawn/night.

Maybe glasses would help?JK;)JBSent from my iPhone using TapatalkJB

Re-do the settings. Set the PMDG texture thingy to low-res, start FSX and uncheck high-res in the FSX menu. Then quit fsx, activate the high-res via the PMDG settings, then start fsx, check the high-res in the game menu, restart FSX. Feel free to shorten the list, but if you're doing the entire thing and it still won't work, you'll probably have to reinstall. And by the way, be sure to run everything with admin rights.

Sorry guys, but this is a bunch of useless advices. As already mentioned, I did all those things already. Even "redoing" them doesn't help. I reinstalled the bird twice. I'm logged in as administrator, not user with admin rights... this is not a problem with rights.Would someone from PMDG care to respond to this?

Edit: I've got it too... Apparently I hadn't noticed before.
Thanks Zach, good to know I'm not alone. I hope this is an easy fix - I don't remember seeing it before.

As rarely as I fly in the morning, it's no wonder I haven't noticed it. It's pretty apparent, even from further back in the cockpit. Sure enough, it looks like a doubling of textures ("night on day").

Is there any official position on this one from PMDG?
