February 4, 200422 yr I wasn't gone for very long today from this forum and this is what I come back to! I like it. Good job Tom and Co.:9
February 4, 200422 yr What different look, cause unless I missed something, we haven't changed anything? :)
February 4, 200422 yr "What different look, cause unless I missed something, we haven't changed anything?"Hey, it looks different to me too. Just can't put my finger on what's changed.DavidP.S. Never mind.....realized I havn't had any beer yet today. Sorry.
February 5, 200422 yr It's been a long long day... No, I am not kidding. I haven't a clue as to what changes you are referring to. Seriously (I am always the last to learn - dang staff around here do things without let'n the old man know - something about good help and all that :-) ).
February 5, 200422 yr >What different look, cause unless I missed something, we>haven't changed anything? :)I noticed that the other day, all the threads started displaying in fully expanded trees. Before there was text saying (39 Replies) or something similar, that you could click to get the expanded view. Personally, I preferred the older display, I could skip the long "This Payware Company SuXors" and "You're Censoring blah blah" threads with less mouse wheel scrolling. :)Dan
February 5, 200422 yr Scott,Shot in the dark here.1) Are you logged in?2) Have your forum display settings changed? (i.e., Classic or DCF view, Expand or Collapse topics, threaded or linear mode)3) Have you erased your cookies, resetting your forum display settings to DCF view, Expanded topics, threaded mode? (the defaults, I think)Everything seems the same to me...Kevin
February 5, 200422 yr I think you might have gone into the forum without beeing logged in. I did that a few days ago (i was somehow logged out) and since my settings logged in arent expanded tree look, I too had a wierd looking forum.Went away soon as i logged in though :)
February 5, 200422 yr I would have to agree that something changed a few days ago.Obviously not to Tom's or Ken's knowledge though.I found I had to log into the forums where before it was all automatically done. I now find that having reset everything back to the way it was, I no longer automatically get the posts in threaded mode despite the fact I keep making the change (the forum software doesn't seem to remember that's how I like to look at posts). It's really annoying having to scroll done everytime and click on view all and then wait for the page to refresh a second time.Has anyone any ideas how to permanently fix this? Many ThanksTerry2.5ml SE EGKK
February 5, 200422 yr You guys crack me up! I guess it has something to do with my personal settings because I went home from the office and the forum looked like it used to. But I don't remember changing any settings. Just sort of happened. But I know it wasn't because I came in logged out. I stay logged in. And I couldn't have posted while logged out. The difference I noticed was the threads. I used to have to push "view all" to see everyone's response. Now, I don't have to do that. So that's what I meant when I said something was different. I wasn't trying to throw anyone. And I really DID think that Tom had pulled a fast one and was playing coy with me!Oh well, I like the way it looks at the office, which is where I am right now!
February 5, 200422 yr yep Tim I noticed it as well this forum is so good compared to a couple of days ago the layout is much simpler... And more complex at the same time. And it has a sort of no-style multifuctionalty about it you just cant beat.:)
