November 27, 201114 yr Evening all,I removed Flytampa Athens from the FS Library, first unticking both entries and then deleting them from the list. Closed FS9 and then deleted the FT Athens folder in addon scenery...i powered up FS9 again and Athens was listed again somehow?!!?!? I removed it from the library again, restarted FS9 and again...it had added itself even tho it no longer exists in addon scenerys....help please! I believe this is now causing FS9 to now crash on startup to desktop and i can now longer access FS due to the crashing on startup Brad - P3Dv4.5 AIG Moderator | Afcad Editor | FAIB Beta | FSPX Beta

November 27, 201114 yr Author I dont think its the Flytampa uninstallation thats causing the crashing, FS was still starting up prior to this sudden crash on start up.... Brad - P3Dv4.5 AIG Moderator | Afcad Editor | FAIB Beta | FSPX Beta
November 28, 201114 yr Hi Brad,Have you tried to make FS9 rebuild the FS9.cfg file? If not; then " C:Documents and Settingsyour user nameApplication DataMicrosoftFS9 " ( you may have to un check hidden files and folders in the tools / folder options drop down ) create a folder named backup or whatever you choose, once that is done drag the fs9.cfg file and drop into the new folder. That will provide you with a back up and effectively hide it from FS9.EXE. Once you click FS9.EXE to start the Flight Simulator it will build a new fs9.cfg file and if the original was corrupted you will be back in business. If that doesn't work then go to http://www.flight1.c...sp?page=library and download FSX/FS9 Registry Repair Tool (36KB) and run that to make certain your problem is not caused by registry errors.Report back and we will go from there.Regards,MelBTW just click on "FSX/FS9 Registry Repair Tool (36KB)" above and it will take you directly to the download, it is free I might add.
