December 4, 201114 yr Hey all,I was testing my CPU and heatsink (new Corsair H100!) and using speedfan to tell me the temps. But I'm not sure which temp to go by...These are my results: CPU: 38cCore 0: 53cCore 1: 60cCore 2: 63cCore 3: 50cWhich is the correct temp? Danny
December 4, 201114 yr What CPU is that? if Intel, the coresAnd it must be Intel if you have different readings in each core I guess
December 4, 201114 yr Author What CPU is that? if Intel, the coresAnd it must be Intel if you have different readings in each core I guessSorry, should have said it was an i5 200K running at 4.5ghz. So far, I'm not impressed with this H100 yet...it just barely edges out my old Hyper 212+. Danny
December 4, 201114 yr Author Are those 100% load temps? (Prime, OCCT, Linx...)The temps in the original post were taken during a run of Prime95. Danny
December 4, 201114 yr Author Your golden1 My 2600K will get up to 65c late in the Prime 95 test 4.8 ghz 1.415 Vcc with a H70. Runs FSX at 55 to 58c.Are you sure my temps are ok with the beast of a cooler I have? You have a higher overclock and voltage, and yet your temps are still generally lower than mine. Danny

Each of the core temps are the temps of the individual 4 cores.Your temps are fine. Some CPU's run hotter than others.
December 4, 201114 yr The 212+ is great, but going by most reviews, the H100 should outperform it at higher clocks. Probably at 4.8 - 5GHz the H100 will shou it's muscle. Depending on your chip and how much Vcore you're comfortable with, you may want to try to overclock it a bit more. What's your full load Vcore at 4.5GHz?
