X Plane Demo Installer for Windows is a bust!

Featured Replies

I have tried to use the installer over the last three or four days. Each time, I only get to the mask that says the installer is looking for an Xplane demo server. That's it. It just sits there...until after about 15 minutes I shut the installer mask down. iIt doesn't work!I don't wish to use Torrents....MItch

File a bug report here: http://dev.x-plane.com/support/bugreport.htmlEvery time you launch the installer, it should create an "X-Plane Installer Log.txt" file inside the folder it's located. Attach that file to your bug report.Marco

Yes, I saw that it generated a log to my desktop. Thanks.

Weird, because it works very well (apart from some bandwith problem associated with the huge inital demand) for a lot of people. So while I wouldnt rule out a temporary server outage at Laminar, it does look like it might also be a problem on your end (firewall, etc.).If all else fails download it from this german site: http://www.chip.de/downloads/X-Plane_31525841.html(Took me all of 4-5 seconds to google it...)Jan
