VC completely messed up after using 747-8i updated panel

Recommended Posts

As you can see from the pic, my VC is completely messed up. All gauges are black and the chrono and RMI are just painted screens. I'm running the button control version. Here is the entry directly from the panel.cfg under the VC:[VCockpit01]size_mm=2048,2048pixel_size=2048,2048texture=$DISPLAY_01background_color=1,1,1gauge00=PMDG_747400_Overhead!VC_background, 0,0,1,1gauge01=PMDG_747400_Main!CRTScreen, 0,0,512,512,OUTBD CAPTAIN CRT VCgauge02=PMDG_747400_Main!CRTScreen, 512,0,512,510,INBD CAPTAIN CRT VCgauge03=PMDG_747400_Main!CRTScreen, 1024,0,512,512,UPPER CRT VCgauge04=PMDG_747400_Main!CRTScreen, 1536,0,512,512,LOWER CRT VCgauge05=PMDG_747400_Main!CRTScreen, 0,1024,512,512,INBD FO CRT VCgauge06=PMDG_747400_Main!CRTScreen, 0,512,512,512,OUTBD FO CRT VCgauge07=PMDG_747400_Main!VC_MCP, 726,1466,480,36gauge08=PMDG_747400_Main!Chronometer, 0,1652,398,396gauge09=PMDG_747400_Main!SbyADI, 404,1686,402,362,MAINgauge10=PMDG_747400_Main!SbyRMI, 810,1740,332,306gauge11=PMDG_747400_Main!SbyAltimeter, 1150,1708,402,336gauge12=PMDG_747400_Main!SbySpeed, 1554,1710,402,334gauge13=PMDG_747400_Main!EICASPanel, 0,0,1,1gauge14=PMDG_747400_Main!CDU, 510,512,670,940,L VCgauge15=PMDG_747400_Main!CDU, 1180,512,670,940,R VCgauge16=PMDG_747400_Main!VC_RadioStack, 4, 1580, 652,36gauge17=PMDG_747400_Main!Whiskey, 522,1462,184,108gauge18=747!pmdg_747_a , 0,0,1,1gauge19=fs2crew\747P\gcrew0!gcrew0, 0,1755,199,198gauge20=fs2crew\747P\gcrew130!gcrew130, 1554,1710,402,334The non-VC view in the VC version of the aircraft is just fine. All gauges work and so does the FS2C clickspots. Ideas?-RickOh yeah, this is the freighter I'm looking at.-Rick

Nope Bryan. It 's JUST the VC. All gauges work fine in the normal view (I'm flying it right now without FS2C) and all is well. Including the VC.-Rick

Hmmm, try commenting out the FS2Crew gauges in the Panel.Cfg VC Section. You're 100 percent positive you installed everything correct and everything has the latest updates (PMDG and FS2Crew).But the gauge order there looks okay... and this one has been reported before. You might also want to ask PMDG for assistance.

Rick,I had the same issue with the JS41... black VC gauges. I had built a new PC and installed everything as Administrator in Win7 yet the JS41 did not install correctly. It took me a few tries but it eventually worked. If you are like me and save your installers in a separate location and you are installing from there try to copy the installer over to your desktop. If you go the PMDG support route be careful about letting them take control of your PC remotely.Good luck.

Thanx for the tip Robert, but it's working fine using the default PMDG panel. It's just when I put the new panel config file that Bryan posted for the 8i update in place that the problem shows up. I guess I'll just not use FS2C with my 8i version. Oh well.-Rick

Forgot to ask. I'm using the button control version NOT the voice control version. Does that make a difference Byran?-Rick
