EGLC London City not recognised in RCv4

Featured Replies

Hiya chaps,I tried to do a flight from EGCC to EGLC earler, but RC doesnt recognise this airport. I've rebuilt the database but still no show. I've checked the modification date in the a4 and c4 within the Data folder and it shows that the rebuild was done. On checking the R4 file in the Data folder, I cannot find EGLC listed there. I'm using FSX with all updates, also Aerosofts VFR London scenery which adds scenery for London City EGLC also. Please can someone tell me how I can add the required info? I dont fly often into City Airport, but I'm sure the last time I did so, there wasn't a problem. Thanks,Rory

More info - have also checked FS's R5 file and EGLC doesnt appear there either.rory

You must be using the current version of makeryws.exe from here now at 4.51;http://forum.simflig...ional-programs/While you are there update the appropriate base and interim FSUIPC versions from;http://forum.simflig...pdated-modules/After putting in the new makerwys.exe let us know if this solved detecting EGLC.If not then go to your FS folder and look for a file called runways.txt. It is large and can take a few seconds to open. Open it and search for EGLC. The first hit will be a single section showing the default data. All others will be a two section pair set, the first being a delete data section and the next being the add-data section. While you are in each section note the file path to the scenery in case there is a conflict. The last section in runways.txt will have priority in creating the r5 files so there should be a last pair for EGLC with the first section offering deletions and the second section offering the added data with both having paths set to UK2000 scenery folders. If you find at the end a deletion only check the path to note the conflicting element. Some scenery comes with errors causing problems with other scenery due to coordinate errors or other items. If there is a conflict then changing scenery priorities in FS might resolve the problem. Keep us informed, please.

Hiya Ronzie,Your advice has fixed the issue, so many thanks. I dont understand though, why the problem occurred in the first place, as I've not added any new scenery or airports for a long time. Once again, thankyou, your step by step advice was excellent.Rory

And which solution worked for you?

Sorry, it was the makerwys.exe 4.51 that fixed it. I then updated fsuipc from 4.70 to the latest as a matter of course.Rory

Thanks. It is important for other participants to know.
