I bought a 'plane pack of the EE Canberra. Lovely to fly, some even have Smiths Mk 10 Auto-pilot fitted. But no ILS or VOR, so I've ordered 'Panel studio'.Now, I take the view that if one of these was flying today, those responsible for the re-furb would have fitted some modern Nav Inst.So I want to fit at the very least an ILS gauge on the main panel (yes, there is space). This is my first attempt at doing this work. How do I connect the gauge to the ILS receivers. is it automatic or what.?I'd love to fit a VOR/DME thing, but it might be better on a pop-up panel ?. How ?

You might get an answer if you post your question in the Aircraft and Panel Design Forum located several floors down:http://forum.avsim.net/forum/122-msfs-aircraft-and-panel-design-forum/

Thanks, Chase. Aside from my tiny "power" as the moderator of Tips and Tricks, I am as helpless as any regular user... LOL.gif

To answer at least part of the OP's question, yes the nav radios are automatically "connected" to whatever other avionics you install. However, VOR1 display unit will be connected to NAV1 radio. VOR2 display unit will be conected to NAV2 radio.

I do not have the EE Canberra installed, you say that it has the Smiths Mk 10 Auto-pilot .Does that autopilot have any functionality at all ?It would seem strange to have the autopilot in that package and not provide a workingfunction to the ILS switch that is a prominant part of the Mk 10 instrument facia.I did a internet search for " Smiths Mk 10 Auto-pilot " .Apparently the unit was installed in several aircraft , there is a C-130 available with a full functionautopilot , also freeware Vulcan may have the Mk 10.That search revealed the availability of a PDF detailing how to operate the unit installed in the C-130.It should be noted that the ILS function switch is labelled "ILS" rather than the usual "APR".Does your Canberra have a NAV/GPS switch ?CheersKarol
