AS2012 and Xgauge Installed OK

Featured Replies

AS2012 installed and activated ok on my network workstation.Xgauge installed but I got a message saying no FSX aircraft (on server) were updated .. said I could uninstall Xgauge aircraft first. So, is Xgauge supposed to be run from the workstation to update the FSX aircraft on the server or is Xgauge supposed to be copied to and run on the server? The ATIS data on the Xgauge screen is faint .. hard to read.See screenshot.

Hi,It can be run either way, and that message is normal since the XGauge entry is already in your aircraft (from ASE). The "gauge" files themselves are updated immediately when you run XGaugeWizard (during the security access rights and file copy check). It looks like you have things setup just fine. The text is hard to read because of the visibility overlay being bright for the graphics being displayed. The only solution is to adjust the display (turn off the VIS overlay for example). The textual information is semi-transparent so that it is readable while also showing map / wx graphics behind it (which usually is much darker, but it all depends on what you are looking at).

Damian,Ok ... thanks for the follow up.The entire process .. download files (SimMarket) to Win7-64 PC server, copy them to CD, CD to Workstation (WinVista-32) copy, install .... AS2012 installer only needed the correct paths to FSX data files on server and prompted for it. XGauge setup automatically ... all was quick (as quick as 3 Gigs can be) and error free.Lastly the prompt for the license key and verification process of previous product for the upgrade .....Great job getting this package out the door like this!
