December 17, 201114 yr HiBefore I install AS2012 can I just ask if there is much real benefit in installing it on a second PC in my network rather than on the FSX PC?RegardsPhil Asus Maximus Hero XI , i7-8086, 16 Gb RAM, nVidia GTX 1080 ti
December 17, 201114 yr No benefit at all with the power of the PC in your signature, not unless you want to run full screen and be able to use the AS2012 main program interface too, in which case you would need AS2012 on a networked machine or you would have to use a second monitor and windowed mode as another option too.. Cheers, Andy.
December 17, 201114 yr Author Thanks for your reply. I do run FSX full screen so I may install AS2012 on a networked PC.RegardsPhil Asus Maximus Hero XI , i7-8086, 16 Gb RAM, nVidia GTX 1080 ti
December 17, 201114 yr If all you want to see is a weather map then don't forget you can install the Xgauge weather gauge into your aircraft, then you can still use fullscreen mode as well even with AS2012 on the same machine. You could also just task switch but I know that FSX isn't the most stable program at task switching, personally I prefer windowed mode and a second monitor with AS2012 and EFB etc. Cheers, Andy.
