FSX only launches from folder

Featured Replies

Hello,I just re-installed FSX. However, i can only launch the program (fsx.exe) from C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X. When i either totally move the .exe file to the desktop or copy it and try to start it, i get error 25 (null)Any ideas? It is probably very simpleThanks,JGJust solved it. Stupid ol me just right clicked it and selected "make shortcut"

You should not install FSX in "Progream Files", asking for trouble!!C: Microsoft GamesFSX will do fineanamiv

+1I know you just reinstalled, but I would highly recommend doing so again, and get it out of that folder.I have mine on it's own partition, actually it is it's own hard drive, which would be my first choice.Failing that, if you only have one hard drive and one partition, as anamiv recommended would be much better than in that program files folder.

You don't want to move fsx.exe anywhere! Right click on fsx.exe and make a shortcut on the desktop. If you are using the external frame limiter, make a shortcut to the .bat file and run it from there.Dave
