February 12, 200422 yr Decided to do some flying around Maui at Kahului's airport (PHOG)and saw these strange green "curtains" surrounding the airport (see attachment). I deactivated Bill Melichar's PHOG scenery, but the problem is still there with the default scenery. Other airports around Hawaii appear to be OK. Anyone have any ideas what could have caused this and how to fix it? Not sure if I changed a setting somewhere, but why it would be localized at PHOG is not clear to me!!Thanks for any help!Airbus Al Kaupa Digital Storm purchased 8/17/2011; Win7x64: Asus P8P67 Deluxe; Intel i7 2600K@3,9 GHZ; nVidia GTX 560Ti; 8GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Dominator; Power Corsair HX 750W; Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD; 300GB WD VelociRaptor; 1TB Seagate.

February 12, 200422 yr I obviously don't have a clue how to upload a file. I thought the attachment box is supposed to get filled in automatically, but it is not for me. Here is the location, if you know where to look.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/62426.jpgBy the way through trial and error I was able to determine that a mauimesh file was the culprit. I may write the author and see if he has knows why this happens. Thanks!Airbus Al Kaupa Digital Storm purchased 8/17/2011; Win7x64: Asus P8P67 Deluxe; Intel i7 2600K@3,9 GHZ; nVidia GTX 560Ti; 8GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Dominator; Power Corsair HX 750W; Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD; 300GB WD VelociRaptor; 1TB Seagate.

February 13, 200422 yr It looks like the airport is surrounded by terrain that's hundreds or thousands of feet higher in elevation than the airport. Like you discovered, it's probably the mesh that's at fault. Did you try slewing out of that area and looking at the whole thing from a much higher elevation? That might help to get a little... er, perspective.
February 19, 200422 yr Author It's definately a problem with mesh scenery. I had same exact problem. Look for some maui mesh file and delete it.Matt
