February 12, 200422 yr The POSKY 757 with VC is a wonderful piece of freeware -- but the texture sizes are so large that it sends my system into overload with much Hdd thrashing when changing views. I remember a posting where you used a programme called DXTBMP to reduce the file sizes of the textures -- but have forgotten how to use it.Can anybody find the post that says what to do?Thanks Barry
February 12, 200422 yr Author Hi Barry,1)Load the texture using the "Extended Texture" option in DXTBmp2)Go to the "Perfs" tab and uncheck the include MIPS option3)Save as "Extended Image" but use the DXT3 with Alpha option in the drop down menu box.Go to your aircraft's texture directory and the file should go from roughly 4MB to 1MB.Good luck!!MIkehttp://www.members.shaw.ca/madamo/boeingsig.jpg
