April 11, 201214 yr You have got to be kidding! Your googling over seeing 15 randomly placed planes at an airport in XP and think it looks better then the dozens of real world scheduled aircraft in UT2? Personally, I don't disagree with you. 2 years ago I flew to New Zealand with the Wife (wonderful country, very friendly too). We flew on a number of flights to get there but notably on an Emirates A380 into Auckland. When I got home to the UK I wanted to see if this flight would be there on MSFS using UT2 and incredibly it was, with the flight number and everything. The scheduled AI in FS are astounding using UT2 or any other addon. There are problems though. I find the AI incredibly clunky, with disappearing aircraft on landing and takeoff or having them a little too close for comfort, I once watched two aircraft trying to 'get it on' all the way into Heathrow. They also notably taxi and fly like they are on a Scalextric track which blows the bubble for me. Stock XPX traffic also has its problems (an awful lot of them). Aircraft popping on top of me, randomly flying to who knows where and on many occasions surfing the English Channel and all this with that magic number of 20...maximum (or not so magic). But, I can see why LR were trying to steer clear from the 'on rails' model that MSFS uses. Sometimes the way the aircraft fly around me feels believable (it's a BIG sometimes, I have to admit), having to fly the sim just like you have to. I agree it doesn't always work. But I can see what they're trying to achieve. I think what we need is an amalgamation (oooooh love that word) of both AI systems. Maybe by 10.7 we will have a pretty robust system, but for now, I have to admit, I have turned it off. I hope it doesn't stay off for long. Rhydian
