  1. Hoping I'm in the batch of DK2's this week (ordered May 14th in UK) but can't wait to try it out. My F5 key is burnt out already! Have also invested in some sick bags just in case!
  2. I'm not touching that throttle its filthy!!! Seriously though this looks incredible even at this 'work in progress' stage. The more add-ons of this calibre the better for XPX.
  3. That looks very detailed. Loving that Dynon D100 EFIS display.
  4. Cant wait to try this in my Oculus Rift. Now I just need my rift and the Dora to be delivered!!!!
  5. That was jaw-dropping! Very impressive!.
  6. Very impressive for donationware. Looks like an outstanding VC.
  7. These screenshots are the most realisitc I have ever seen in a flight simulator! Just WOW! Brilliant work Pascal, you've discovered something huge here. Great to see Ben and Andras from LR in this topic too. Rhydian
  8. Sounds good to me. I guess this new 732 add-on could share some code/graphics from his 727 product, which is certainly not a bad thing. Looking forward to it.
  9. So now we have a 737-300 from IXEG on its way and now this 200 variant from FlyJSim in XP10. Nothing like a bit of healthy competition. Wonder what the systems depth will be like on this 732. The external model certainly looks good. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8fg6cGEV-gk
  10. I do all of my X-plane simming these days on a MSI GT70-20D Gaming laptop. I have always built desktop PC's in the past (specifically for flight simming) so was very hesitant buying an off-the-shelf PC, which I haven't done for many, many years. But after the wife and I had our little boy, gone were the days that I could shut myself in my man-cave and flight sim for a couple of hours while the wife was away with friends, I had to be mobile somehow (so I was free to change nappies at a moments notice  ) So here I am with a laptop (not sure why they call it that with the size of them these days) and I've been very pleasantly surprised by the performance of X-plane 10 on it, or any other game for that matter, or any programme to be fair. I'm not saying it could fully replace a desktop PC, given the cost per performance ratio, you could build a PC for the fraction of the price to be honest, but I'm very surprised how well it holds up for flight simming. DCS World works great too. Unfortunately though, cpu-bound FSX doesn't perform so great, which is real shame with all my add-ons etc. Kind of new that was going to be the case though. Rhydian
  11. OK thanks Andy, will see if work has some contact cleaner and give that a shot. Rhydian
  12. Thanks for the advice Andy. Didnt think about the lack of lubricant. I have some VCR head cleaner lying around, it doesn't work on my DVD player would something like that be more useful? Cheers Rhydian
  13. I pulled mine apart and cleaned them with Isopropyl alcohol. Worked great for about 2 months but then after that they were absolutely terrible again, spiking all over the place. I am surprised Saitek use such cheap 'trim' pots to be honest.
  14. Hmm.. that is unusual. Maybe the install of the HD global scenery could be causing the issue? Rhydian
  15. Hi Torfi, are you sure you selected these regions on the X-Plane install? You can select and deselect regions when first installing XPX to minimize the amount of disk space. I only have parts of Europe with my installation. That could be why you are seeing only water and runways and no terrain in that part of the world. Rhydian
  16. PMDG's NGX took 4 years plus to develop...I think I read it on their manual.
  17. Thanks for the info Flo. I have a MSI GT70 20D 'gaming laptop' with a GTX780M graphics card. Unfortunately I don't see the 'adaptive' option only 'ON' and 'OFF'. I searched for a reason why and it is apparently down to MSI having their own version of the Nvidia driver (or something like that) which based on an older driver. I have had issues with updating driver versions before where I was stuck with 304.490 driver until MSI finally decided to update to the latest version. Oh well. Thanks for the help though. Rhydian
  18. Looks like its still early days but he has a feature list up at the org.
  19. I'm falling in love with helicopters in X-plane, specifically the Dreamfoil AS350B3, which I think is a superb add-on. I went to see if Fred is working on anything new and this little gem popped up. The Bell 407 gets the Dreamfoil treatment! http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=72544 Should be good. Rhydian
  20. Wonderful news from Alabeo. Will be intersting to see that infamous T-tail in XP!
  21. Thanks flo and Ian for your suggestions. I still seem to be having screen tearing despite changing Nvidia Inspector to 'standard' and 1/2 refresh rate and then 'do not lock' within XP. @Ian, i'm unfamiliar with Nvidia Inspector, do I have to do anything with the X-plane profile after pressing 'apply' key once I changed to the setting you mentioned? @Flo, just wondering where 1/2 refresh rate is on Nvidia Control Panel? I see an option for VSync On but thats about it. Thanks for the help both. Rhydian
  22. Hi, I have this problem, tried the same thing with forcing Nvidia software to vsync (which mostly does the trick in other software) but i still get tearing. Could you point me in the right direction please and tell me how you fixed your tearing issue? Thanks
  23. Personally, while I see where other simmers are coming from with XP lacking seasons and I feel it's something worthwhile to pursue, if LR do add this feature I hope it can retain the 'instant' dynamic time duration without having to load scenery. Pressing shift K & shift L and watching the time of day whizz forwards and backwards always impresses people when I show them. It's a very unique feature that I fear would be lost if we had seasons and had to re-load new textures each time we wanted to jump from winter to autumn.
