I need help setting up my controls....

Featured Replies

Please help me here. I'm experiencing an issue with my controls (I should have kept my old .cfg from my old computer.... :( ).So basically, my Saitek Pro Flight Rudder whenever I use the Left or Right Toe, it will freeze on that action. For example, I have Left Toe and Right Toe set to left axis brake and right axis brake respectively. If I press on the Left Toe, FSX will be stuck on DIFFERENTIAL BRAKES. If I press down both (BRAKES), FSX will be stuck on BRAKES. Please help... I have a video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJJb2uWaCyA&feature=youtu.beThanks :(

Go to Settings -> Controls -> Axes -> Left Toe & Right toe -> Click on "Reverse" for each. This should work.

Thanks,

  1. Check you do not have multiple assignments of any of your axis.
  2. Also you'r better off using FSUIPC to assign all your hardware. See John Cook's excellent FSUIPC guide here (for CH Products, but most applies to other manufacturers as well),

Cheers,- jahman.

FSUIPC is beyond software, it even prevents certain common G3D.dll CTDs. But suit yourself.Cheers,- jahman.

I had the same problem with my toe brakes. Go to the control axis settings under "controls", and change the sensitivity settings for the toe brakes to maximum, and the null zone to about 20%. I had the same problem as you and this fixed it.Good luck!

Thanks. What you wrote there is on the manual as well, and I should have read it on the first place... But all is working now.One question, why did this happen to me? In my last computer, when I first got the rudder pedals all I had to do was plug them in and set the left toe and right toe as the left brake and right brake.

Glad you are back in business! I am not sure why it happened, although I read in another forum that Windows keeps calibration information in the system registry-- and that multiple entries cause problems. In fact there is a utility that will clear out the calibration entries-- called I think "Calibration clear" (you can google it).

I agree it's a great piece of software but just wanted to make sure everyone knows they do not need to buy FSUIPC to prevent G3D crashes. It works with the unregistered version too. I know you know that but just wanted to clarify things.Best regards,Jim
