January 4, 201214 yr Hello Captains!How can I set up FMC to disconnect Auto-throttle (A/T) and Auto-Pilot (A/P) automatically during a landing on a VFR flight?My 737NGX won't disconnect them until I disconnect manually...Thanks in advance.
January 4, 201214 yr Commercial Member You can't. Disconnecting things must come at the command of the pilot, which is how it's supposed to be...You can, however, assign key commands via the FMC to use buttons on your hardware, instead of mouse clicks. They can leave the A/T to touchdown, unlike on the 737 normal landing. Matt Cee
January 4, 201214 yr Commercial Member The MD-11 is not a Boeing-produced product, McDonnell-Douglas had a very different design philosophy. No Boeing plane leaves the A/T on for landing unless it's an autoland. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
