FAA PCATD Status for FSXI? (a.k.a. "A Serious Version of Flight")

Featured Replies

That's a very nice looking 787 simulator! Thanks for posting. Minus all the hardware, the visuals can be done with FSX without a hitch. Any idea what software they're using?Cheers, - jahman.
CAE's software is called Tropos-6000 series.See the datasheet about it here.http://forum.avsim.n..._1#entry2174603Fred.

Hi, Fred. Yup, that's the stuff. Uh, when I die I want to go to CAE.
After the healing up takes place your friend is then ready to resume a simulated flight career with his choice of either FS9 or FSX.
Yup, Ron, the sooner the better. It has been a fun five days or so, but time to move forward (er, or is it backwards). I'm going "flying" tonight.

Thanks!Cheers,- jahman.
Microsoft has a mission with Flight, aimed at a specific target demographic. I would surmise that they have no interest in producing a product specifically for the aviation market, let alone having to deal with the monumental task of dealing with the FAA. Besides, the FAA has their own problems and issues to deal with, and trying to push through a certification program for a piece of software would have a very low priority in their eyes.
Yes!And when they see their strategy for Flop, I mean Flight, fail, they will listen and change their business plan.I once saw a banker wear a tee-shirt that said: "Money talks. I listen with interest!".Cheers,- jahman.
