Trying to change livery on default Boeing 737

Featured Replies

HiAll I seem to do here is ask questions....I am trying (unsuccessfully) to change the default livery on the default Airbus 321. I thought I had followed the corect procedures, installed the new textures in the Airbus texture folder, and added the new text to the cfg. file and renumbered it the last one. But when I start FSX I get an error message saying " there are multiple objects with the same title names. ". AIRBUS A321 paints5Can anyone please help ??

Check your cfg again. See if there is an entrie with the same title.

Yeah, check the title. Just renumbering isn't enough. The title of the aircraft is also an entry that should be unique to the repaint. In your case, the title is apparently the same as an already exisitng title. You can change it to whatever you want, as long as it's not the same as the title of any other aircraft in FSX.

OK. Thanks for replying, this looks easy to do but not for me...I have added the new textures to the folderThen I have added the new cfg and renamed it Boeing 737-800 Paint 7I just overwrote the title in notepad and then clicked save.I now get no error message but i cannot see the plane when I start FSX.Tried another default livery change on the Airbus 321 with the same result. I must be doing something fundamentally wrong.Sorry added the wrong screenshot for the Boeing

If it is for your A321,in your aircraft.cfg by texture there must texture=FC.And for the B737-800 in your aircraft.cfg by texture there must texture=ACN-VHope this help,Jan.

The error is that in your cfg thetexture=1is still unchanged. The texture needs to point to the new texture, in your casetexture=acn-v

[flightsim.6] is your new entry? and the folder you added is texture.ACN-V?Your CFG entry for [flightsim.6] has the wrong texture nameReplace...texture=1with...texture=ACN-V

Thanks for all your help guys but still cannot get it to work. Changed textures to FC but still no good for the Airbus, yet to try the Boeing......

Can you post your cfg file from the first line down to the [general] section?

Sorry wrong cfg, going round in circles here..... try this oneSorry wrong cfg, going round in circles here..... try this one

ok, can't see anything unusal here. One last thing I can think of is, that the base textures are missing. In the texture folder are 22 files. Check how many files are in the texture.fc and texture.fs folder
