That's too bad, it's more fun with more competition I think!Of course, any iFlyers who happen to stroll by and wants to participate in the race is welcome to Team Avsim as well! ;)

It's a real shame that they will be unable to participate. It was more interesting with them in the race.Can someone (who has an active account at the Ifly race forum)post a notice welcoming them to join the AVSIM race team? I do not have a login to their forum.

Hi there Eamonn and Avsim team,Yes, we at iFlyOnline have decided we won't be able to gather enough pilots to have an effective team this year. Rather than try to compete with only a handful of pilots (and perhaps fail to finish) we thought it better to declare now that we wouldn't run a team this year (and I've written to the Executive Committee to let them know).This means our race pilots that still want to participate in the race will need to sign up for one of the other teams. I'd be happy to put a post on the iFlyOnline forum inviting them to join your team (but perhaps noting that "other RTW race teams are available" :( ).Regards and good luck,Martin.iFlyOnline.com

Hey Martin,I'm sorry you weren't able to grab enough pilots to make a go of it this year. You can do the race with as little as 2 pilots but it would be very difficult so I do understand your reasons.You or any member of your team are more than welcome to join us over here at AVSIM.I do hope you are able to resurrect the ifly team for next year..
