I like the idea that all addons for MS Flight will come through the store. This way reinstalling everything will be immensely simplified! Right now whenever I (re)install something I have to deal with loads of downloads, zips, rars, exe's, wrappers, updates, patches, patches for patches, and loads of serials, codes, usernames, passwords, ordernumbers, orderdates, various completely different activation procedures and whatnot... No more with MS Flight: one store, one login, one install procedure! I think I am going love it! :(

I can't help thinking Jeroen that everything will very soon become very boring and vanilla flavoured :(

Well, I personnaly can do without the 'excitement' installing FSX and all its addons can give... :( More about 'boring' in my other topic...

A nice positive approach. Totally misguided but positive. All the best stuff I have is as good as it is because of tweaking, even the ones that are easy to install. Everything needs to have a screwdriver stuck in at some point. That's the nature of flight simming and I love it.

I agree. I liken it when I was a kid with my 'suped up' Ford Anglia, I spent all my time polishing the car but most of my time was spent tuning and trying to get the darn thing to go faster. Incidentally I did, after a whole new engine rebuild, new manifold, carburettor, head cylinder, valves... the lot! So I guess the whole tweaking thing may well be something we all share and it surfaces when we become flight simmers :(

What installation hassle? I have hundreds of both payware and freeware addons for FSX and I have had no problem with installing them other than some that were made for FS9. Biggest problem to me has been stopping default FSX from crashing first.

Shame they'll be nothing to install or worth installing :)
Exactly.

Why do you run FSX at all? Over 90% of your posts vary between denegration and open hostily towards Microsoft. Given that both FSX and the Operating system required to run are both products of that company, it strikes me as rather hypocritical on your part to be using any of their software at all.
