Notch Tells a User to Pirate Minecraft

Featured Replies

LOL...Notch (the creator of Minecraft) replied to a tweet on his Twitter that read:

I really like the game but lack the money to buy it. I thought I might at least ask for a free account before piracy.
Notch replied,
Just pirate it. If you still like it when you can afford it in the future, buy it then. Also don't forget to feel bad. ;)
Isn't this the weirdest thing ever?Article on: http://pc.ign.com/articles/121/1216416p1.html

LOL - Well Piracy does have some benefit in rare cases where people will pirate to try it, like it, then buy it.However the best approach for a developer is to offer a Demo so people can try before they buy whilst maintaining a ZERO piracy policy.Cheers
