February 25, 200422 yr Hello,I've been flying the SSW 310 sim for about 3 months. While I agree with you about the great sides to this addon, I also suffer from the shortcomings that you mentioned.I have stopped, for now, trying to get support for what I would call "bugs" or difficulties. I manage my own descents like stepping down a ladder. I get better results and I even hit my ILS approach altitudes now! When I use the profile, I always missed them really high.Like many of us "believers" we await the 1.4 update - I too really like this sime although I still think that the PMDG 737 is the best I have seen in "heavy" plane sims.Happy flying,Ron [email protected]
February 25, 200422 yr I agree about this package as well, it is very underrated at the moment. I was just about to start a thread about this great package but you beat me to it Staffan... What I'm finding is a problem with this package is holding an FPM setting. I find myself fighting with the autopilot to keep it set at 1800FPM (climbing or descending). It just disconnects for no apparent reason. While PMDG is great this package is of the same quality, it just needs these bugs sorted out. Once that's figured out and someone can create some great liveries for this plane, I may find myself in this airbus more than the PMDG 737. The VC in this thing is nothing short of awesome. All they need to do is make it fully interactive. At the present the texture load times are horrible but once their up it looks wonderful day or night. I've been in a Fedex A310 and I must say this rendition is right on the money. Here's hoping SSW does justice to this package with the release of the 1.4 patch...To anyone buying this package, go to SimMarket for the purchase. The install they give you is the most painless hassle free setup anyone could ask for. February 26, 200422 yr Author Ok guys, I think I have solved the SSW A310 "Descent profile" issue. For those of you who are familiar with aircraft.cfg file editing I here give you the parameters I have been fiddling with lately. The whole descent issue is about drag. So I added more drag and made the bird more stable in pitch and roll.Just replace the Flight Tuning section with these lines. And don Staffan
February 26, 200422 yr Thanks Staffan, your updates work great... :-beerchug FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
February 26, 200422 yr How do you apply the SSW panel to the SGA model,I tried and the flaps don't work and most anything I do in the cockpit does not show up?I can't even get the virtual cockpit to work. JeffG
February 27, 200422 yr Don't know what to tell you Jeff. All I did was install the SGA model and alias the SSW panel. Everything seems to work perfectly.
February 27, 200422 yr Staffan, are you having any problem holding your vertical speed settings??? What I'm finding with mine is my vertical speed keeps disconnecting. I really ruins any hope of a good approach unless one flies the whole thing by hand... February 27, 200422 yr Author Hi,I have no problem with disconnecting vertical speed, unless I am in a flap profile. This happened even before my modification. And I am trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. :-)Take care, Staffan AhlbergSweden/Stockholm/ESSAMD-11 Panel Team - Beta testerMy specs are:Dell Dimension 4600 P4/3.0 Ghz512 Mb DDR333 Dual channel memory128 Mb ATI Radeon 9800 ProCatalyst 3.9DirectX 9.0E171FPb Flat panel monitor 17"240Gb (2x120) 7200rpm HD Staffan
