powering up engines checklist

Featured Replies

hi i have been trying to figure out a proper way to start up my pmdg 737. I can easily power it down after landing and in to cold-dark mode but i cant seem to get both engines back on only 1 or none. I did the whole tutorial 1 that came with the plane but it didn't explain how to start the plane and also took a quick look through the other manuals but i couldn't find anything. I looked it up and found a few lists of procedures for starting the plane up but i cant seem to get it to work at all. I would appreciate it if someone could post a good and easy checklist to understand, I don't know why i cant get this it is not my first payware plane. All help is appreciated Thanks!Corey

On FCOM vol 2 page 365 -> system descriptionOn FCOM vol 1 page 101 -> checklist. If it is not working the problem is in the pneumatic system.Sorry for the short answer, is what other users want, without going OT or explanations on how it works.Checklists are enoght for robot-simmers usage...

Andrea, I think your explanations are both knowledgeable and helpful. Don't listen to the people who say you are a "rivet counter". If it wasn't for people with this kind of knowledge and the patience to explain it working in aviation, I expect a few more planes would fall out of the sky, and less pilots to pilot them!If ppl don't like what you say, they can ignore it! You are never rude. Don't listen to them. Explain away!!BestJake

I should add, I'm not just being provocative here, I have had this issue too when trying a fast turn-around. My sentiment remains regardless..

You might give my list a try: it gets me from Cold and dark back to Cold and dark again without any problems:http://forum.avsim.net/topic/360939-737ngx-short-checklist-from-cdd-to-cd-please-check/page__pid__2239744

My patience with them is finished, you're right, if they are getting annoied by my posts, thay should skip them, but they didn't and won't do... so the solution is to be rude and non constructive.I hope that are only few, but from the beginning here I can count several attacks from different people...They don't understand what I want to do, and that is not for me, as the forum is an anonimous place, I'm not searching for glory or whatelse, they are arguing I'm sciolistic, so, as they want, no constructive descriptions, no off topics except for flame, I'll answer in less words as possible to the questions, meaning that if a question requires a "yes" I will write yes, plus the flame.Sorry for the other guys and who ask clarifications here. :(

Thanks guysOliver,I can ignore discussions of no interest for me (something that few seem not be able to do), but not for personal attacks. Sorry, right or not, it's my personality. It will take time for me to start ignoring that. The forum is full of people with good knowledge of the 737, I'm not a big loss ;).SO, we can close the Off Topic ;)

thanks everyone i finally can start the 737 :D my only problem now is i can not get the ils alignment even when i switch it to nav when at the gate it does not work. Any help thank youCorey
First make sure that the aircraft stand still and you have to "tell" the aircraft where you are. Copy the last position of the gps, second page of position initalization or something sImilar. Had too much of whiskey coke. Cant remember the exact page right now. And it takes about 10 mins in RW
