Faster Simulation Rate

Featured Replies

Is there a way to set the simulation rate in FSX to 128x speed when using autopilot?Even at 16x, Singapore to London takes a long time. And don't say dont use autopilot, I don't know anything about the manual stuff, i always use autopilot, it is so much easier. Please Reply ASAP.

There is no way. 16x max when Autopilot steers the metal

The problem is you see M.82 at 16X, but the autopilot math needs to deal with M.82 x 16x = M13.2, or 9,500 knots. At the 128x you wish for, the speeds would be M105.0 and 63.000 knots, or almost 4x the speed of a satellite in LEO - Low Earth Orbit.Cheers,- jahman.

Appreciate 16X.Before FS9 4X was the max sim rate you could do with the autopilot on.Regards.Ernie.

Planning shorter flights seems the most obvious solution... :wink:BTW Flying manually at 128x (= 63.000 knots)... I don't think anyone will suggest that because you will surely crash.

So at 128x you'd fly from Singapore to London in what, 5 minutes?I'll say little more, for fear of getting bashed, but I'll stick with 1x and 1,000' AGL. Less hectic that way!

Why did you buy FS8?? You are talking about FS2000?

FS8 would be FS2002.Regards.Ernie.

Ah yes, but still... why FS2002...?

I just got FS98 and man, is it cool. I can't see my VC though. Must be my slow machine (a 386 is all I can afford right now). But seriously folks, I had thought FlightLine was restricting me to 16x but you're telling me it's that I have the AP on. Wow, I could not imagine manually controlling the jet properly at more than 1x. Sheesh, it's more like 0.5x for me.
