March 3, 200422 yr Hi,I had exactly the same problem as you some time ago. I didn't uninstall IE, but I do use Netscape which was set as my default browser and I believe that triggered the above "check connection" message. Try connecting to another site first - WITHIN FS9, that did the trick for me. I can't tell you exactly where I connected to since I'm at work right now, but it was in the sim itself. I think it was the official FS web site or something like that. Anyway, if you still have problems, drop me a mail and I'll check when I'm back home later today. :)Regards,Jurehttp://www.reality-xp.com/community/nr/rsc/rxp-higher.jpg
March 3, 200422 yr Thanks for all the feedback guys. Will try reinstalling IE and connecting to other sites from within FS9 when I get home. Hopefully that will solve the problem.Have been checking out AS2004, and it really looks like a lot of work has gone into it since my hiatus 2 months back. Nice job! I love this hobby, but its funny how any change in any aspect of your system can have an effect. Its getting so you have to run FS9(and LOMAC) after any change no matter how unrelated to check if a problem develops. Oh well, the price of having a tweaked for fps, flight-sim-exclusive machine.I sincerely hope the above suggestions fixes things, and will report back for benefit of other who may encounter something similar.Regards,
March 3, 200422 yr Thanks for all the help, guys. Reinstalling IE has solved the problem, although I had to reinstall XP to do that!Regards,
March 3, 200422 yr So does FSMeteo. They seem pretty similar from a bullet point perspective. Not sure if the actual effects are better in one or the other. I certainly like FS Meteo so have not ventured to anything else.
