Panels & Doors

Featured Replies

Evening AvsimI have Overland and Project Airbus aircraft, i have for my A32X (A318,319,320- PA and A321 Overland) planes using a panel which has a button to view the fuselage graphic and you can click two areas for front and rear doors and then the cargo doors button, but quite a few of these buttons are not resulting in doors opening...does anyone have experience with settings and how to fix this? Then regarding wingviews, i have two wingviews for each side of my aircraft, i wish to set numpad keys "1 & 3 to view left and right engine views and then 4 & 6 to view on the wing. Currently i have to press 5&1 or 5&3 to view one set and then 5&7 or 5&9 to view the other....i wish to edit this if i knew howHelp would be great!

Hi,I'm assuming this is a generic door opening gauge, with many door choices. Your aircraft probably don't have opening doors in those button locations, so that's why nothing happens. Nothing you can do.You should also be able to press Ctrl-Shift-number to see the views? If so, that is the standard way that wing views are implemented, to avoid messing up the "standard" views that you see by pressing just the number. If you really want wing views instead of side views, keep in mind that this will replace those side views and you won't be able to use them, AFAIK.Look in the panel.cfg file and in the Views section you will see lines like:VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_UP_WINDOWS=39VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_UP_EYE=2.000, -0.250, -16.470VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_UP_DIR=0.000, 0.000, 32.000 This is a wing view. The number 39 defines the key to be used for this view. That is Ctrl-Shift-1. You would have to find the key codes for the unshifted numbers on the numpad.Hope this helps,

You could add a door gauge to open the doors of a model that the panel doesn't support. Most models use the standard xml code to open doors, but for a few models that don't, you'd have to find the xml trigger in the model and then write a gauge for it. RJ

Turns out 39 is the code for the unshifted key. I don't think there is any way to get wing views to respond to anything but 5 + a key or Ctrl-Shift-Key
