Is this correct?Or am I breaking forum rules here too?and since it is hard to get the verbalization and inflection of one's text's I will spell it out.I am not being a smartass, I am new to posting here and I have read the rules but I don't know what I am doing wrong.I post to several other forums this way and everything is ok.So instead of ripping me and making sly comments help a fellow simmer that just wants to share his screenshots out and tell me what I am doing wrong.... thanks

Please read the rules on top of this forum.

• Images linked to the forum must be no larger than 1024 pixels wide and no more than 200K bytes in size
• You may link to images hosted on YOUR website, but the images MUST be yours and not exceed the 1024 pixel width size

The images are mine ,I used the attach file button at the bottom of the start new topic page and loaded these from my computer not the image hosting site that I loaded the other posts from (these were the really big pics) and the images loaded small like they are above.The rules state that files will automatically be reduced if they are to big but that is not happening? I take a screenshot from FSX I then go to that folder save as a jpeg and load them here I don't know how to make them smaller than what they are when I hit the V button to get the shot. If the file is to large it will not uplaod it turns red and says file is to large when using the attach file button. So I thought I had fixed the problem by using the attach file button instead of posting from the image hosting site. So if this is still not the correct way to post here then I don't know how to fix it and I am sorry for upsetting the avsim forum community and I won't post here anymore. thanks for your help LEEN3131cs.

Images can be no larger than 200K bytes large , the rules are clear about that.You are not upsetting me at all.The pictures you posted above have a correct dimensions for files uploaded to our server (less than 1600 width) , the file-weight however is still to high.To make the fileweight smaller , just open the pictures is a program like Photoshop or Paint.net (FREE) and save them to a lower quality jpg file.If you use the way I did in my example you can show "huge AND quality" with the url and a low quality picture directly linked or upladed to our server.The main idea about the whole thing we want short loadingtimes on our pages and be carefull with our uploads-space.Leen
