Need some help w/ Livery Manager: installing another livery blows out the existing livery

Featured Replies

Hello, something's amiss w/ LM. I install a livery for the 800NGX WL variant and it installs just fine. Either an Alaska Airlines or Southwest Canyon Blue. Now, after a successful install, when I go to install the other, it appears to be installing just fine, however after the installation completes, BOTH liveries have disappeared! I can exit LM, then come back in, and they are still missing. When I open up LM after this occurs, I am asked if I want to delete the XXXX. folder because the livery is not installed. So, according to this mssg, what appeared to install did not install. Anyway, as it stands now, I can have only one livery (beyond the default PMDG one) installed at a time. What can I do to resolve this? I'm guessing this is not the way LM was intended to function, i.e., only one livery at a time. Thanks,Noel

I have something similar with the 900. It installs the second livery, but it takes away the text of the first. The [fltsim] number of the second livery is one up though....So, what I do, is just copy the text from one livery, paste it and adjust the callsign etc. You can always start with the [fltsim=0] text and copy that if the livery is in the right file.Menno

Wow, such a work around for such an otherwise polished product. Hopefully the PMDG staff will have a good idea about how to avoid this. Thanks Menno
